I.
Where it began
Born to an Egyptian Jewish mother and a British Protestant evangelical father, she grew up in a large, hardworking farming family in the English countryside.
II.
The turn
She rose through the ranks of her faith – educated and ordained at a theological seminary, not only as a minister but as a “prophetess” – while remaining unfulfilled, despairing, and numb inside.
III.
Today
She now lives in Safed, Israel, with her husband and five children, works at the Chaya Mushka and Machon Alte seminaries, and lectures throughout the world on Judaism in contemporary society.
